Terms of service
These terms of service govern your use of the Krastofy platform. By registering or making a reservation, you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
1. Definitions
“Krastofy”, “the platform”, “we” — the Krastofy online platform connecting waterbody owners with anglers.
“Owner” — a user who registers a waterbody on the platform and offers fishing spots.
“Angler” — a user who books and pays for a fishing spot on the platform.
“Spot” — a specific bookable fishing spot with a price and availability.
“Reservation” — a confirmed and paid request to use a spot for a set time.
2. About the platform
Krastofy is an intermediary platform. We provide the technical means to find, book and pay for spots, but the service itself — access to the fishing spot and its condition — is provided by the waterbody owner. The agreement to use a fishing spot is concluded between the angler and the owner; in that agreement Krastofy acts as a reservation and payment intermediary.
3. Account and registration
To use the platform you must create an account with true and current information. You are responsible for the security of your account and password, and for all activity carried out from your account.
An account may be created by a person aged 18 or over, or with a legal guardian's consent. We may suspend or close an account if these terms are breached or fraudulent activity is detected.
4. Reservations and payments
A reservation is confirmed only after a successful payment. Once paid, the angler receives a QR access code confirming the reservation.
Payments are processed by Stripe. The angler pays a total amount that includes the owner's set price and the platform commission (see section 5). Prices are shown in euro (EUR) and include applicable taxes where relevant.
5. Price and commission
The owner always receives their set price in full. The platform commission is added on top of the owner's price and is paid by the angler. For example, if the owner sets €20, the angler pays €22 (at 10% commission) — the difference covers payment processing costs and the platform service. The commission amount is shown before a reservation is confirmed.
6. Cancellation and refunds
Cancellation and refund terms depend on the specific waterbody and are set by the owner. Review the terms of the relevant spot before booking. Refund disputes are resolved primarily between the angler and the owner; Krastofy may assist as an intermediary but does not guarantee a refund unless required by applicable law or the owner’s policy.
7. Access to the spot (QR code)
The QR access code is personal and valid only for the specific reservation and time window. Sharing the code with others or using it outside the booked time is not permitted. The owner or a controller is entitled to verify the validity of the code on site.
8. Owner obligations
The owner undertakes to provide truthful information about the waterbody and spots, keep availability up to date, provide a safe and suitable fishing environment, and comply with applicable laws, including fishing and environmental requirements. The owner is responsible for the compliance of their activity with tax and other regulations.
9. Angler obligations
The angler undertakes to follow the waterbody rules and local fishing regulations, protect the environment and property, and use the spot only during the booked time. The angler is liable for any damage caused by breaching the rules.
10. Limitation of liability
Krastofy provides the platform “as is”. We are not responsible for the actual condition of the fishing spot, the catch, the weather or the owner’s conduct. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the commission amount of the relevant reservation. This limitation does not apply to liability that cannot be excluded under the law.
11. Intellectual property
All rights to the platform, its design, software and content (except user-submitted content) belong to Krastofy or its licensors. Users retain the rights to their submitted content but grant Krastofy a non-exclusive right to use it to operate the platform.
12. Personal data
The processing of personal data is governed by our Privacy policy. Data is stored in the EU and processed in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
13. Changes to the terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes on the platform or by email. By continuing to use the platform after changes take effect, you agree to the updated terms.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Latvia. Disputes are settled in the courts of the Republic of Latvia, unless mandatory legal provisions require a different jurisdiction.
